Fride Miller was the pseudonym for the Austrian artist Elfriede Miller-Hauenfels (1893-1962 Vienna). She was a painter, graphic artist, and illustrator. Life and Education Elfriede Miller-Hauenfels was the younger sister of the painter and etcher Erich Miller-Hauenfels. She received her artistic education at the state art school in Graz and, from 1913, at the "Art School for Women and Girls" (Kunstschule für Frauen und Mädchen) in Vienna, where she studied under notable artists such as Adalbert Seligmann, Ludwig Michalek, and Christian Ludwig Martin.
